TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms
of Service

Effective Date: 1 November 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every project between Wekae Solutions ("we", "us") and you, the client. Your proposal sets out what your project includes. If the proposal and these terms disagree, the proposal wins.

You accept these terms when you accept a proposal in writing (an email reply is enough) or make the first payment. By accepting, you confirm you're 18 or older and, if you're accepting for a business, that you're allowed to.

2. Quotes

You get a fixed price in writing after our first call. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted before we do it.

We're not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged. If that changes, we'll tell you before it applies to any new invoice.

3. Payments: 40 / 30 / 30

  1. 40% to start, before we begin the design.
  2. 30% on design approval, before we start coding.
  3. 30% at handover, before we put the site live or transfer the code.

Invoices are due within 7 days. If a payment is late, we pause work and the timeline moves by the same number of days. Clients outside India pay any bank or transfer fees.

4. Timeline and your part

A standard website takes about 3 to 4 weeks from when we have your first payment and your content (logo, page text and photos). Please send feedback within 3 working days and name one person to approve each stage.

5. Revisions

The design stage includes two rounds of changes. After you approve the design, changes to layout or structure are quoted as extra work. Small text and image swaps are free.

6. Paused projects

If we don't hear from you for 14 days while waiting on content, feedback or payment, we pause the project. If it stays paused for 60 days, we may close it. Payments made cover the work done.

7. Who owns the work

Once you've paid in full, you own the custom code, design files and graphics we made for your project, worldwide and for the full term of copyright. We'll send you a signed letter confirming this at handover. Until full payment, the rights stay with us.

Fonts, stock photos, plugins and open-source code stay under their own licences. We can still reuse our general know-how and standard tools.

8. Your content

You confirm you have the rights to everything you give us: text, images, logos and product details. You're responsible for what's published on your site. We may remove clearly unlawful content from hosting we manage, and we follow lawful orders from courts or the government.

9. Hosting and your customers' data

If we host your site, it's on a monthly plan covering hosting, SSL, security updates and monitoring. You can cancel with 30 days' notice and we'll hand everything over.

If your site collects your customers' data, you're responsible for it under the DPDP Act, 2023, and we handle it only on your behalf. We'll keep it secure, use it only to run your site, tell you quickly about any breach, and delete or return it when our work ends.

10. Accounts and passwords

You own your domain, hosting and social accounts. Where possible we set them up in your name and add ourselves as users. Shared passwords are kept in a password manager, and our access is removed at handover.

11. 14-day warranty

For 14 days after launch, we fix bugs, broken links and display problems in the agreed scope for free. This doesn't cover changes made by others or problems with third-party services.

12. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime in writing. The 40% first payment is non-refundable once design work has begun, as it covers work done and time reserved. If you cancel after approving the design, the 30% design payment is also non-refundable. You get the completed work you've paid for.

13. Limitation of liability

We build and test carefully, but no site is completely error-free or always online, and we can't promise search rankings. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for that project. We aren't liable for indirect losses like lost profit or business.

14. Confidentiality and portfolio

We keep your business information and logins private. Once your project is live, we may show it in our portfolio. Tell us if you'd prefer we don't.

15. Disputes

If we disagree, we'll first try to sort it out by talking, for 30 days. If that fails, it goes to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator, in English, and it can be held online. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you accepted your proposal applies to your project.
